JOB TITLE: Credit Controller & Finance Support

RESPONSIBLE TO: Financial Controller

HOURS OF WORK: Full time 37.5 hours per week

DATE: April 2024

Location

Home based – with UK travel as required.

Limits of authority

Member of the Finance Team sharing in the collective responsibility for growth agenda and promotion of best practice for UK business.

Main Purpose of Job

To improve and maintain the Debtors Ledger and overdue balances. Support the Financial Controller during month end and year end routines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Build relationships with Clients to enable timely collection of invoices
Investigation of invoice queries for both Client and Patient/Insurance Companies
Raising of Ad Hoc Invoices
Raising of Ad Hoc Credit Notes
Monitoring and reconciling of unallocated cash
Uploading weekly invoices to Sage 200
Updating Debtors spreadsheet with invoices
Monthly preparation of Bad Debt Provision
Monthly Sales Analysis by client
Monthly allocation of sales by discipline
Monthly Intercompany transfer journal
Assisting with daily/weekly/monthly client reports
Ad hoc tasks

Continuing Professional Development

· To be responsible for his/her continuing professional development and to take a proactive approach to maintaining personal and professional effectiveness in an evolving role.This also includes maintaining his/her own personal portfolio of CPD activities.

· To participate in the company’s performance appraisal process (staff annual joint review)
